This semester, we started with a student project which is also an assignment for the 302 studio. This project is about designing a market place for the public usage. It is free to choose any site has 2000-2500 metersquare.
It is a groupwork (3 student, 1 is studying civil engineering) , then we chose Ulus market street as site. Near by Suluhan and Ulus Hali, the site has historical value and central position. There is already a market space in this site and we are planning to suggets some regulations and additions into it.
It is also important to design a stable and durable steel structure for the market hall. So, the case studies have importance in order to understand how steel element works.
